Default Nikon S600 Compact Camera

Hi,
Can I just check if anyone here got a Nikon S600 camera? Did you ever did any video recording on this camera? Is the audio very very very soft?
I had one, but the audio is so soft that it can't even pick up much the audio of the person speaking in front of camera about 2 meter away!!! Me which is behind the camera can hear him very clearly.....
Need to confirm that my camera is faulty before I bring it down for servicing.
Regards

common mistake is people accidentally cover the microphone with their fingers...
check u'r not blocking it.. or a fan is not blowing directly in your camera direction..

either that.. u were previewing on the computer or on camera? check volume controls.

simple possibilities elimination process. try it

Nope, I tried all those....
I notice the position of the mic and I always remind myself not to cover it.
Played on Camera itself, from camera connected to TV, and on PC also. Need to crank up the volume really high to hear the sound.
It only if I speak direct into the mic (10cm away) then the sound is acceptable.
Which is why I hope another S600 user to confirm with me if it is a design fault of solely my camera issue.
