    Default hello everyone

hi just another member who's new to photography and would like to learn more

just a quick question as to whether anyone knows anything about the course that they offer at nafa ..
    http://www.nafa.edu.sg/in_courses/pa...basicphoto.htm

like would it be a good course for someone who has not much knowledge about photography.
    appreciate any feedback. thanks.

    welcome to cs, rustincolour

my suggestion is, to pick up photography books from the library

devour the loads of many beautiful pictures that can be found online, think about why they are nice to you, try to replicate what they have done

and then move on to creating something yourself

it is not hard, if you have the interest

    good luck, and have fun

    Welcome to the new world

Regarding e course. Do you really need a Certificate just top proof you know how to take photograph? Unless you'll need it for a living else you can look at some basic courses at here http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/forum...ysprune=&f=121

I'm going for a specific D90 Intro tmr evening for $20 and a Basic 10 lessons in June by KNowledge Bowl.

My advice, go and shoot for at least 3mths to 6mth before attending these courses so you know what questions to ask in the course to be more useful. Else if you go in virgin, might as well read a manual/book.

    Good luck to you!

    Welcome to CS....

as mentioned already, reading more on both the books (from library) or thru online sources would have given you loads of info.

After-which, you'd need to practise and practise...

Hi and welcome. If you wanna take your photography into a higher level, NAFA actually offer a fine art diploma with a major in photography.

Not very sure myself what kind of training part time courses will give, but they will teach you the fundamentals of photography and there are also assignments given which is good, because you tend to learn it practically as well. Not just lectures and tutorials like some talks.

Alternatively, there is a much cheaper way, do read up more in libraries or hangout with some friends who has the same interest and learn.

Hope my info helps and welcome again.

    hi and welocme to CS

don't forget to read the stickies for useful information about this forum

your best bet would be to learn the basics first, before you join any class
that way, you would be able to understand what they will be teaching better
