Just came back from Western Australia on conference and on vacation leave
![]() Lots of new pictures to share... To start off: Is She For $25 Or Less As Well? ![]() Caught this scene of a sale going on at a store in Perth, Western Australia. The sign proclaims "Everything $25 Or Less" obviously with reference to the merchandise on the mannequins. What made the scene interesting for me was when the salesgirl decided to come out of the store into the sun to solicit customers. Standing among the mannequins, it seemed that she was also advertising herself for "$25 or less" too Would appreciate comments/critiques ![]() Regards. |

Think it pales in quality compared to other shots you have. The shadows, salesgirl looking down and not very prominent "$25" sign in the pic make the pic more of a snapshot.

With her looking down, I thought the shot was more candid. The lighting situation was tricky: it was difficult to get the exposure right for the girl but yet not overblow the white highlights of the clothing on the mannequin. In fact, I had to push the parameters quite a bit in RAW to get the right balance. What I thought was also interesting was the contrast between all mannequins and the only living human girl. The sign is just an additional touch and would have been overly distracting had it been more prominent. Thanks for the thoughts ![]() |
