Those flowers taken with the lens wide open are still super sharp! This lens is indeed drool-worthy...
![]() But I think I'll still stick to the DA*50-135 for now. |

12-24, 17-70, 60-250 is actually a quite good f/4 combination.
The images are quite good. |

So, when is it going to be available in SG, and at what price?

Just saw ebay online recently and online shop from Taiwan sell US$1799 + US$49 shipping. Too expensive for us. But Amazon online sell US$1499 only in USA. No idea how much shipping to SG. We better wait for Emjay to import some stocks into SG and see how much they cost.

I think its more expensive. 70-200/4 IS is in the $1800 SGD range. But 60-250 is price at $1400 USD range by amazon which is about $2k SGD.

Yah I agree with matchkk, now it's just launched, need to give it some time before we see the "real" street price. By then it'll possibly be a bit cheaper than the 70-200/4 instead of a bit more expensive. The other DA* prices dropped a bit too after the launch period no?

Bernard, DA*200 is fantastic. One reason why I chose it was it weighs about 800g while both DA*300 and the new DA*60-250 weigh above 1kg. It is a pain to handhold it all the time on treks. IQ, maybe the primes are better too (wide-open). Lastly but not least, the 60-250 zoom extends out quite a lot, isn't it?
