Default testing my prime lens but..

hi bros, need some advice. just bought a SAL28F2.8 from a bro here. Condition is 10, no scratches and no fungus inside aperture blades opening. However, when I took test shots(diff aperture values) at marina sq starbucks and in my room(lights on), I put on pc and see - some shots werent tt sharp while others had abit ghosting effect of blur. Can ask if any probs with the lens or issit the low light situation? All shots taken without flash.

Non-multi coated lens filter may cause ghosting. Try taking out your filter at night. Also at max aperture DOF tends to be shallow, making focusing difficult.

You may want to post you pics here so that we can see the problem.

Likely slow shutter+a . Also depends on your iso, etc and how steady your hands are, etc. I love low lights, pics & settings tells a lot.

try remove the filter (suspect is filter, got a similar problem once) and shoot in the day time...
    Playing with M43.

Most likely you bought the lens in an evening and couldn't wait

typical room with lights on isn't a very conductive scene for a test shoot.

    - Check the shutter speed of the pictures you took.
    - Try day time outdoors
    - post the picture you are disappointed with.

ya, bro..u r so right. Got the lens in the evening abt 7.30...tested under HDB block, shot some benches...looks sharp w nice colors on LCD but on pc, pics look blur like handshake... I took it with F2.8 in aperture piority mode. I tried a fren's D90 with 50mm 1.8...so surprised at the results in a dark low lighting room...thus expected too much
