always see ppl attached white card on d ext flash, is it to smoothen exposure for portrait shooting? no way we can est correct exposure for 602+ext flash other than trial & error? the white card is DIY or off d shelf item?
All expert here kind 2 advise... |

The white card serves to bring some of the light from the flash foward when you tilt it up. This way, you get less harsh shadows under the nose and chin.. nd you can also get some catchlight in the eyes.
You can either DIY or buy it. Sulhan sells some homemade bounce cards as well. ![]() |

Would the shiny surface give hotspots? I would prefer a more opaque and less reflective surface..... but getting proper exposure is a little tricky this way...... |

Go to popular bookstore or any stationary shop, use the corrugated paper sheets available there and cut to size.

Not really...... it depends on how much of the light u want to catch from the flash to diffuse... |
