Sigma 10-20 f3.5

I was just wondering if anyone has seen this in Singapore yet?
If so how much is it? I am looking for a ultra-wide lens to use for event photography. I wonder if this lens is any good for that. If not, I also thought of the Sigma 15mm f2.8 Fisheye as another alternative lens to use, cos it seems to get good reviews, even from Mr.Thom Hogan.

Any thoughts anyone? I do appreciate some view on this one. I am also a first time Sigma user.

These was taken with older version of the Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6. Have not seen the newer F3.5 in action. The barrel distortion is very very minimal unless you have building, they are not noticeable. Fast and quiet focus with hsm.

Asked MS colour about it and they also have no idea........

Think just gotto wait and wait, in the mean time save up more money.

You may wish to email CP and MS, to ask for eQuote. Usually they reply within 24 hours.
Or the faster way, call them. Can call TK too.

was window shopping around AMK
itchy finger, tried the sigma 10-20 f3.5 and canon 10-22 with the shop's 500D
nothing scientific, but sigma heavier,longer slightly, filter size 82mm compared to canon 77mm,canon noiser on focus, seem slower than canon and pic darker and ??at 10mm canon seem wider.......just my feel
canon $1100, sigma $1150....will buy canon when i have money...

Sigma 10-20 F3.5 is a bit expensive. with the constant aperture, it cost more then Canon 10-22

$900 should be the 10-20 F4-5.6?
if it is the new 10-20 F3.5, is it a grey set? local set is selling around $1150
