I've played with this and am so in love with this cam. But am a Sony user so thinking very hard in getting this. I love the size, the ergonomics, and even the sound the shutter makes...

You can use any FourThirds mount lens on your camera, including ones from Zuiko/Olympus, Panasonic/Leica, and Sigma (note that Sigma makes lenses for many mounts, so you have to make sure the one you get is "FourThirds" mount).

This site should get you all the information you need to get you started (including a list of available lenses):

actually, the 1st question I always get is "Why the F**K did you buy an Olympus!?"

also, because I enjoy using the 25mm pancake so much, the 2nd question will be "What kind of lousy lens is this got no zoom one?"

hi to all those new to the 4/3s system!

please do join us at our regular outings, you can meet up with fellow 4/3s users and photographers with interest in various fields.

the strength of the system is definitely in its wonderful lenses, the colours and the many innovations pioneered by Olympus that will be adopted by other makers (Live View on dslr, Dust Removal etc).

the community we have here will be glad to help you with your questions and clear your doubts about the system, but do search through the many threads here that may contain the answers to your questions first.

some of the things you must not miss out

1. Because I am different from you C & N lemmings. I use my brain ... to think.

2. Lousy or not, let the picture do the talking.

I gave up explaining why I chose Olympus. I'd usually just give a "Coz I wanna be different" answer.

Lol not this question again. I kinda agree with aryanto here... Talk until cows go home about squeaky clean ISO 3200, 9fps, L lens etc etc, in the end it's the resulting image that matters. Some of my friends using other brands have no choice but to admit, my Oly gives highly accurate colours & wb compared to theirs.

relax. I didn't mean anything by it. I'm just amused by the shock reactions I get when I whip my cam out.

Olympus often times is viewed as the dark horse, the outcast or the rebel. Why not nikon or canon? Fortunately or unfortunately, cannot find a reason to change to Nikon or Canon. Or is it because I never kena poisoned by these 2 brands. Have not used N or C before, but have tried to buy them but at the end of the day still choose Oly. Happy with O results and there is really no reason to go anywhere else. For someone who does not know otherwise, is that good enough or not?

I almost got a 450D. Almost. Then I chanced upon the E-620. I was immediately sold on the swivel screen. In fact, the swivel screen was no.2 on my priorities list after price. Looking for DSLRs with the swivel screen made me chance upon the E-30. The other consideration I had was the Panny G1. Swivel screen too. I decided to play the waiting game and literally, 1 week later, Olympus announced the E-620. As the say, the rest is history.

mine is almost the same story as yours, on the day i was to go buy the 450D, olympus announced the e620. got very interested in Oly as i was really looking for a compact dslr, but G1 was a bit ex and not much lenses yet, so i ended up trying the E-system, got a 2nd hand e420 and fell in love with the system. just recently upgraded to e620 and never been happier

I am a bigger sucker for swivel LCD. When I see e-3 available I immediately go to shop and buy. LOL. Not even waiting for review.
