I know there are Nikon-4/3, OM-4/3, Carl Zeiss-4/3 etc..
There is something which I'm not sure. Is there an EOS-4/3 adapter to mount Canon lenses on 4/3 bodies? Heard that most EOS lenses don't have manual aperture setting on the lenses unlike Olympus OM lenses and the Nikon lenses. |

You can only adapt lenses that have manual aperture/focus...you can't convert the electronics from one brand to another.

With the exception of some Contax N-mount lenses of course. Even AF is retained. Of course I'm referring to mounting on Canon EF. So far I don't know of any Canon EF lenses fitting on other bodies

Well, I'm a user of both systems and I was responding to the fact that there are instances where you can indeed adapt lenses and convert the electronics including retaining AF. In any forum, information should be accurate. This might be the 4/3 Section but we are in a photography forum. Shaoken was afterall asking about EF lenses on 4/3 bodies.
Anyway, back to the topic of adapters for 4/3 mount, there are several but so far, Canon EF lenses can't be used for other bodies because of a physical constraint. |

Since this is going off topic anyway, there *IS* now an adapter to use Canon FD lenses on Micro FourThirds!

Don't think it can fit into my body. Thanks. Last edited by shaoken; 5th May 2009 at 07:27 PM. |
