Default need help on gradation shot in RAW

hi everyone, i was back from a kelong trip and i shot all my photos in RAW. i almost shot all of them with high gradation(which means contrast setting will not work). but after using the raw development window, what i saw on the settings is gradation is set at normal and the normal contrast settings are use instead.

is it normal or do i have to shoot in jpeg to let the gradation setting take effect in the pictures. i dun want to be applying high gradation settings on alll the pics which is going to take up alot of time.

If I am not wrong, if u shoot in RAW, u can choose to or not to apply gradation settings. Provided u process them in OS or OM.

What are you using to process your RAW images...it's not recognizing the High Key setting. Anyway, does it have a batch processing feature?

You should be able to change the gradation setting to whatever you want when you shoot in RAW then.

but its like i shoot with high gradation settings, then when post processing i can see that the image will first load up then reset to the contrast setting and i have to go to the raw editor to set it back to the gradation setting that i wanted.

maybe its becoz i'm using e-520. dunno about those using E-3...

anyways if anyone can just try out on their E-520s or E-3s in RAW then try post processing in Olympus master 2 RAW Editor then see if the settings under basic 2 resets to the original contrast settings ( + - 1 settings) instead of the high/low gradation...

may be the settings in the software..
