Welcome to CS

As my previous mantra goes...

READ MORE (to get more info and knowledge)
SHOOT more (when you have your cam and can put the knowledge to good use)
Post more (and find out where you went wrong and need to improve on)

As others said, read more. Read this if you haven't
http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=309544

If you have decide the model to buy, go ahead; if you still uncertain, you may check some camera review online. DPreview is good, but sometimes the full review not yet release.

For the F1, you may want to consider using a longer lens with faster focusing abilities... i.e. a AF-S f2.8 lens.

you can consider the 80-200 or the 70-200. Or if you think you're willing to invest more, look at longer lenses.
