possibility of s/w upgrade for s7000????

anyone knows if it is possible to reduce the noise problem by doing a s/w upgrade for the s7000, assuming that there is a s/w upgrade?? i have read most online reviews, and that seems to be the major problem....... i am interested in the cam and would like to know that can a s/w upgrade in the future, if the s/w is released, solve or reduce the problem............
