Default Reddish skin tone taken with LX3's built in flash

Hi to all LX3 users? Has anyone experienced this on your LX3? I've noticed that the skin tone has reddish tinge whenever I use the built in flash. Tried it on both dynamic and standard and the result is still the same. I also tried upgrading my firmware but the result is still the same. Initially I thought its just the camera's LCD but the reddish tinge is still there even if I view it on my laptop monitor. TIA

by the way, I have never seems to get a good result from AWB in night shot. leave it to the camera and what's yellow/orange light will turn out white

same here, panasonic's awb not very smart when the lighting isn't typical. quite annoying. if you have the time and mood, shoot in raw and you can ignore white balance.

Now that's something I have not tried. Glad you suggest it, thanks!

shoot in raw can ignore white balance? doesn't seems to be the case. anyone can verify that? i tried to record in raw, but white balance still applies

but i notice something when i shoot outdoor and at home.

if i use AWB outdoors under street lamp, the yellowish tint becomes whitish.
if i use AWB indoor under halogen white bulb, color appears to be correct.

I guess LX3 users probably have to look at the light and choose the white balancing carefully

finally installed silkypix, i get what you mean now. not that white balance not recorded, just that you can ignore and add whatever you like.

thanks!
