As per title, I'm looking for a bag that can fit a gripped camera + 50 1.4 and equivalent lens. The reason why I want to get a bag like that is for bringing the camera around in a school-bag. Anyone know a solution? I don't want to take out the grip because I use a Canon E1 hand strap and I can't shoot without one, and it's 'leh chey' to take out every time.
Cheers, Zexun

Does it need to be heavily padded?

Not heavily, but enough so that it can protect the camera against some knocks. The school-bag already offers a bit of protection.

Think Tank's Skin series is a good choice. I use a Think Tank Skin Chimp Cage with some dividers thrown around the sides just to provide a bit of protection. It comes with three dividers, for the big pouches, so just throw one on each side, and one in front (the back is quite thick, so there's your knock protection), and you're good to go. It's how I carry my 1DII & 50/1.4 or 35/2 in a messenger bag.
