Replacement for my lost front cap for OM lens?

Hmm,

I need to get a front lens cap for my Zuiko OM 50 f1.4, i lost it on 1 of my photoshoots. Any idea where can I get one?? Thanks in adv.

just go to most camera shop or camera repair shop to look for 49mm lens pitch cap. they shd have it. go ard funan, penisular or even adelphi, I am sure u can get 1 there.

Hmm, got an example? I don tink shops like AP or CP would carry right? I noe of dat 2nd-hand shop at adelphi basement, will check it out when i have the time.

I got a 72mm at P&G at Adelphi before, not sure abt 49mm... u can try. those shop normally shd have some stock for various diameter

Look for it in the Olympus BnS - someone selling some 49 mm caps there. Another option is to order it in from Olympus Service Center.

I don't know what AP or CP is since I'm not from your part of the world, but what "egnaro" meant is you can buy a generic lenscap from ANY camera store in the world as long as you match the diameter (the diameter is marked on all lenses by a number beside a circle with a line through it)...it DOESN'T have to be an Olympus branded lenscap!

For instance, on one of my old Canon lenses I have a Pentax brand lenscap.

same one will be Olympus service centre... I think slightly lesser then 20buck. u want 3rd party i can check for u at P&G in adelphi since I am here today.

you can always get a transparent lens cap (filter), which you can also shoot without removing the lens cap

Mmm,

filter better ones are Hoya, Kenko, Tokina, Sigma. So far these are the few brands dat i have tried using.

Actually,

as mentioned earlier, I've got both the orginal front and rear OM lens cap from P&G. He charged me $8 each. You jus need to wait for him to ransack the entire shop to find it. I think he has the 4/3 lens caps as well.
