[UVIR] tried out the wideband dual profile filter
purchased the XDP (dual profile) filter from MAXMAX.. here is a result.. preset WB shot from subject.
Nikon D200 UV-VIS-IR, XDP filter ,Nikkor 20mm f/3.5 Ai-S, 1/25s f/8.0 at 20.0mm iso200  and it has a window in the UV... here is the filter with the Baader U-filter Nikon EL-Nikkor 150mm f/5.6A, 1/25s f/11 iso320, Baader+XDP  good thing i saved that sunflower.. it has about had it though. any thoughts on what this filter is? |

I have no idea wad type of filter it is, but i feel that the sunflower looks very like digitally drawn type of picture.. its nice!

XDP? is it legal right now?...i'm still afraid using this kind of filter...

too funny!... yeah... MAXMAX won't provide the transmission spectra or tell me what it is... but it passes UV and IR as well as some visible.... kinda like the Schott UG-5 1mm thick glass.. http://www.optical-filters.com/ug5.html but this glass is 2.5+ mm thick... |
