As above.
I want to use Canon Speedlite 580 EXII to trigger slave flashes. Can anyone recommend an alternative beside getting another expensive Canon Speedlite 580 EXII? Thanks in advance.

The simplest way to trigger 3rd party flash is to get those with optical slave built-in.
Nikon SB-80 DX is a good model to start; these are hot items in ebay. You can get used ones for approx $250 or up. There's an MO on Nissin flashes too, I would love to review them. ![]() BTW, how much have you budget for these?
