The price of Lumix FZ28 currently...

the price update for FZ28 lately, anyone knows? Cathay at MS said out of stock when i popped by last weekend. MS color selling around 650$ without freebies. Am seeking to buy one but if anyone is kind enough to put a rough price update + freebies offered, would really appreciate it alot. Thanks!

yup... i notice camera price doesn't drop like handphone... it will usually stay about the same and then phase out when they are sick of it... so usually won't drop much

look like overseas are selling at cheaper price as compared to sg.

i got it from m'sia cost about S$100 cheaper, whereas another guy who got it from hk save him about S$200.

the prices are still hovering around 580-610 at the moment for those who are still looking out for this camera first hand from shops.

yea, a friend of mine who went to M'sia purchased his FZ28 approx 95-98SGD lesser but i can't confirm for HK. HK depends on which district u purchase it from. If you know the reseller or salesperson, of course you can get them cheaper

I just checked out three shops in Chinatown today (Pagoda Street only) and the price quoted varied.

The cheapest $599 (or $590) but the case is sold at $45!!!!
Another shop quoted $600 with case and 1-year international warranty.

I just went in to ask for the prices so no extended talk or bargaining whatever.

The prices seem cheaper than other shops but I am not sure about purchasing products at Chinatown (like whether the shops are reputable), like whether the shops are reputable but it should be alright.

$600 with case and 1yr international warranty is good.. think i will check it out soon, if i can't get a second hand at 450+...

there were 2 sellers who were selling their used sets with warranty, but they finally sold them away after 2 weeks of advertising on clubsnap 2 price of $450+.

hi i bought my fz28 on 31march @ $649 with 1 yr international warranty and freebies (8gd sd, 1 cleaning kit, screen protector). Got it at harvey norman sale.

Thanks, but your camera is quite old and out of warranty..

I am looking for a set which is still valid with warranty.. preferably about 6 months of warranty... will to pay $450+ depending on acessories and stuff.. coz new set just cost $590+ which also includes the case...

was at the suntec gaming exhibition, and audio house was selling some electronics... was told that FZ28 already dis-con... they only selling G1... is it true?

Hi,

Yes. I was told by a staff from Alan Photo about this issue too.
He also mentioned that FZ28 is a discon model.
New model shld be in the pipeline.
