Default Soft Release

Hey dudes, have you come across an equivalent product like the Mini Soft Release sold on camera quest in Singapore?

http://www.cameraquest.com/voigtMSR.htm

Any idea if it can be used on a Minolta 7s?

Hi,

I remembered one of my friend bought a Rollei soft-release from Ron's Camera shop. But it is quite costly around S$25.

I hope it helps.

You can order direct from Tom Abrahamsson by contacting him thru' his contact details on his site. You will most likely get a reply from his wife Tuulikki via e-mail on the associated cost for send it to you in S'pore.

I think the Nikon soft release is called the AR-9. I bought them from a shop in Chinatown called Max Photo, if I don't remember wrongly. They were S$10 a piece. I think Max Photo deals in Nikon items so they would carry these. In fact, I enquired from the Chinatown branch the number they had and bought the whole lot from them. Gave me a discount on the whole lot at S$8/piece. That's was a number of years ago.

I'm sure if you call them up, you could find out availability. My suggestion is to buy a number of them, so that you would have ready spares when this small piece gets misplaced.

Yup. I got one of these for my Bessa. Works well. But it actually comes with a silk printed Nikon logo on the flat surface. May want to remove it with Jif. First time I had to remove a Nikon logo from anything.
