I bought at Cathay 3 months back, decent price.
Btw, loving the V500, I use it mainly to scan film/slide, accurate color straight from the scan, and simple software workflow. The film holder work fine for me. Only compromise is that you scan less per loading. I find this piece of gear worth every cent paid. |

HI,
I think cathay was selling at a better price of $439, but they didnt have stock. So i bought it at $448 at South Asia Computer. I think you can find it for cheaper if you look around. This was January this year. Eudon |

For those who are looking to buy this, this is the shop where i bought my V500 from yesterday:
TNK Technology #05-56, Sim Lim Square The lady running the shop is selling the V500 for $395 & includes the standard promotional gifts of a pair of Nike Sport Vapor Earphones + $10 Taxi Voucher. It isn't $390, but hey, it's just another 5 bucks away. Promo gifts have to be collected from the address listed at the bottom of this PDF Promo Flyer: http://www.epson.com.sg/promo/MayPromo2009.pdf I don't work for Epson, nor am i a die-hard Epson fan. Just sharing a good thing. Last edited by Reflection; 19th May 2009 at 09:48 AM. |

I went and shopped around in SLS instead of calling, and I paid $395. Makes a difference in most cases.Last edited by Reflection; 19th May 2009 at 10:21 PM. |

Can i ask if there is anything real bad about the Epson V30? Sounds like a goos deal for a basic decent photo scanner.
I suppose it supports MF films as well? |

v300 can only scan up to 6 negs / scan, v500 can scan up to 12, saving a lot of time.
Anyways I think I got mine for SGD$428 |
