As to the new camera, rumor says it'd be K-7, and it'd have the following specs:

- 15 MP APS-C (same as K20D one)
- viewfinder with magnification 0.95x or higher (100%), coverage 95% or higher (100%)
- 1080i HD video w/ sound
- 5fps
- max shutter speed 1/8000
- max flash sync speed 1/250
- new image engine
- better AF (but probably the same AF module) especially under low light
- 3" VGA LCD (640x480)
- smaller than K20D

2nd-hand K10s are already available for very, very nice prices.

It's the 2nd-hand K20D prices which are still not so nice.

nahh, i won't be able to afford the initial price of this new camera anyway. poor student maybe in a year or two!

hmm, if going outdoors for mountain hikes & all that then it'll be a great & affordable combo. cannot say "wat for", if not then why did they bother to weather-seal the K10, K20 and K200? anyway i think it's a great step forwards, hopefully pentax will start to extend weather-sealing to more of their lens line-up & it'll really be a huge plus point for those who won't be going for the DA* lenses.

oh ya i read that the buttons are at the bottom right corner.

Eh ... don't think so lar. Most of what I shoot these days doesn't require me super fast AF. The sensor's still very much the same, and I am shooting raw ... if I want small, I already have k-m as a 2nd body.

Maybe a K-8 ...
