Default 5dm2 lens microadjustment

helo all bro here..

i just brought a 5dm2 with 17-40mm .. i took over 30+ test shoot with 17-40mm and 100-400mm lens but seem like the focus point is not very sharp. anyone encounter this pbm??? anyone do the lens microadjustment ?? how is the result?? sorry for so many question..

what is your definition of sharp? Some pics would be nice showing a crop of the area where the focus was meant to fall on. Microadjustment helps a lot if it is seriously back/front-focusing.

em.... after i took the picture .. the focus point show abit blur.. i test it from iso100-1600...

well, you have to test it at the lowest ISO setting possible, with a tripod to ensure that the blur is not caused by handshake. use a high shutter speed if possible. post up the test pics so that we may see.

I did the micro-adjustment for my 50mm 1.8 II and I have to say it worked well and quite sharp with the center AF. Mine is set at +8. You probably will have to adjust one step at a time all the time shooting the same subject with camera on a tripod.

I used to have my Rebel XT and now I know why I can't seem to get good focus when ever the red light comes on. No micro-adjustment.
