The pics look a little pale on my screen... would probably benefit if you could post process them first, to correct the level & contrast, and perhaps enhance the color saturation.

Hope you don't mind some frank comments.

#1 looks underexposed, but can be corrected in PS.
#2 has potential that wasn't fully realized. The composition is too tight, and would probably be much better if you could zoom out to have an uncrop view of the boats, with the sampan as the stem and the blue boats as the petals of a "flower".
#3 is again too tight and would benefit with more space.
#4 the boys were looking at something, but I can't see what they were looking at. Would probably be better if you could take in the entire bicycle and include the object that they were looking at.
#5 subject is not strong (no particular object is standing out from the rest) as there are many objects in it competing for attention.
#6 which is the subject, the building or the 2 persons?

Photography is like writing an essay and it should have a subject. Before you take the pic, ask yourself what the subject is, and how you could describe it better to your audience. Focus on the subject and get rid of the rest of the unrelated items, by either excluding them from the composition, or blur them out using DOF.

Hope you are not discouraged. Do shoot more, share more, and learn more from fellow CS members here, and I'm sure you'll get better in no time.

i kinda compressed them using minimal quality. sorry about that.

cause i usually dun edit my photos also. hmm, will take that into consideration.

for 4, no, they werent looking at anything. the younger one is just trying to climb on and the older one is looking back at him.

and 5, i have another from the frontal view but the "face" in the architecture doesnt stand out as much.
