#4 works for me but somehow i feel that the horizon is tilted... but if the horizon is straightened, then the angler will be tilted...

which is more likely to be tilted, then?

the angler, or the horizon?

i know which one my eye will look at first

anyways, that shot is nice. correct the horizon, and it will be even nicer.

yes, i like this final version best

but that's me, maybe you should ask around and see what others think, i have a lot of weird habits, like horizon must be die die straight, etc etc etc, and have preference for minimalistic compositions.
