Default Think Tank Modular Set

Hi

I am thinking of getting a Think Tank Modular Set. Understand it comes with the following:
- Large Lens Drop In
- Lens Changer 35
- Lens Changer 50
- LC 75 Pop Down
- Lighting Fast
- Speed Changer

Can a Nikon D80 with 18-200mm or 17-35mm lens fit into the Speed Changer? Otherwise what other Waist Bag from Think Tank can fit onto the Modular Set?

Appreciate if someone can share some experience.

Regards

Dont think a Speed Changer was designed to fit a DSLR at all... Its meant to hold lenses/flash or misc items. The gent at TK told me the only pack that can fit an SLR and hooked up to the belt system would be the Digital Holster.

Else, look into the Speed Freak/ Speed Demon/ Speed Racer.

If you don't need everything in the Modular Set and your D80 is without grip, you may want to consider getting the Speed Demon or Change Up and mixed them up with some modular pouches like Lightning Fast and Lens Changer.

Both come with shoulder straps to convert them into sling bags.

Hi Randius and cp1238

Thks for the heads up, was also thinking along Randius idea of getting a waist pouch with add-on modular pouches.

Will bring my D80 w/o grip and lens to try out with various models in TK. Hopefully TK have stocks available.

TK should have stocks for most items as of last week. Try going on a Sat when most of their experienced users are around.

TT Modular Set provide the flexiblity in putting your experiments. I see there is a raise of the number of event photographers using it.

I had noticed that during the few company events I went. They may not be using TTP bags, but they moved around, they used the Modular system for flexibility and mobility.

Functionality is what had pulled me back to TTP from Billingham.

Hi

I have tried the Speed Demon and Speed Freak at TK, personally prefer Speed Freak as it is bigger than Speed Demon. The extra spaces will be handly for additional stuffs and accessories.

Will try to sell off my existing shoulder bag get the Speed Freak.

You will like it. a pity my stuff can't fit in the freak..end up with a racer so is bigger. but i love the hip support with additional from that shoulder strap. so much better and easier to assess to gear. will be using it for a full 8 days trip...if i don't survive...then is bye bye to Think Tank...=(
