Question Tripod needed for modeling shoot?

I am intending to join an outdoor modeling shoot in the mid to late morning.

    I'm using E-510, OM 28mm F3.5 and OM 50mm F1.8 lens (2X focal length on E-510 body).

Those frequent modeling photographers, I need advice from you guys.

    Thanks.

Depends on your style. You'll need to move around a lot, and be able to get in, take your shots, and get out so others can shoot. A tripod would limit your creativity and perspective too. In all the shots I've seen/attended so far, I've only seen 1 or 2 people with monopods. The rest handhold the cameras for maximum flexibility.

Usually I go without. but there's an afternoon where I got very tired hands and a rather long lens to hold for some of my shots, so I had to rely on it.

But usually I don't use it as my cameras is usually light enough for me, and stabilized across the whole range.

But if you are doing large prints, high level work with heavy equipment like Medium format cameras and big glassware.

That is, provided that you already have sketched out the shots and visuals that you need, it can be good to use a tripod.

But that doesn't save you from getting blurred shots if you are doing natural light photos with relatively slow shutter speeds, and the model does shift subtly even in pose.

Action to fast for tripod, unless you want to shoot from the same point.
I would suggest a monopod if your eqt is heavy,
Though i do use tripod, buts that to secure my speedlite for CLS use.

Thanks for the advices from you guys.

I think I will use it hand held instead. As I want still portrait shots.
