Default 14-54 mm Mark 2 and Ring Flash

The 14-54 Mark 2 cannot fix the Ring Flash unlike the old 14-54. Does anyone know if there is a way of attaching the ring flash on the Mark 2 using step rings or other forms of adaptors? I read somewhere very vaguely about using a E1 accessory but could not find it on e-emporium. Thanks.

The only accessory I've seen is the adapter for the 50mm macro lens to handle the ring flash and twin flash units.

Yeah....I know. I wonder if there is some 3rd party adaptor that would work. I wonder what is Olympus plans with the 14-54 Mark 2 and their Ring Flash or is there no plan.

It is not a thread size issue or any size issue. It has got to do with the way the thing clips and rotates on...much like how a lens hood is attached. They do not match with the Mark 2 unlike in the Mark 1. If desperate, can start saying and making cuts, but I am not willing to do that to the lens or the ring flash.

The only adapter I know of is the FR-1 tube adapter which is designed for the macro lenses.

If I were in that position I would be writing strongly worded letters to Olympus until I got a positive response as to why they designed it that way.
