Thanks for posting this thread. It is an eye opener to see a indoor UV setup.

sounds like resonance fluorescence to me... for that setup you need a visible light camera that has a good cut filter to reject UV, IR and shine a long wave UV light (e.g. UVP B-100A black light) to generate a flower to fluoresce in a perfectly dark room.

here is an example

Nikon D3 ,Nikkor 200mm f/4D ED-IF AF Micro, 3s f/16.0 at 200.0mm iso1250, UVP B-100A source

or

Nikon D200 ,Nikon EL-Nikkor 135mm f/5.6, 10s f/16 at 135.0mm iso400, UVP B-100A source

Arh, the 2nd one is the one . Will these images be captured if we use a normal lens, or does it need to be uncoated as well?

Hi,

I've tried to capture images with 2 x UV CCFL tubes inside a dark room.

Here are the results

A.

B.

Images captured with Nikon D70, will try again with another camera see if results are similar ...

these were fluorescence induced from the LWUV into the visible... so they are visible light shots and any lens that captures visible will do. (need dark room and long exposure)
