B&H in New York have the USA (non gray) model listed for $350 USD which is 20 USD more than the SB-80DX. Therefore it's probably reasonable to assume the SB-800 will be priced 30-50 SGD more than the current price on the SB-80DX.

I understand that the SB800 is very similar to the SB80DX. Slight difference in function and that the additional fucntion can be only used on the D2H. Correct?

Beside the i-TTL and wireless master/slave, the unit also includes a battery booster pack, 2 colour gels and a flash stand.

More information here.

i wonder if the SD8a battery booster can still be used on it... looks like can, cos there seems to be a power port for it.

notice that the interface and control layout is almost the same as the SB80DX...

From the various sneak previews, it seems that SB-8a can still be used.

Wow, 11 AA cells per flash.

Not just that... the following 3 reasons are my best to get the D2H & the SB800..

FV Lock (Flash Value Lock) allows photographers to change the composition or zoom for the shot while maintaining desired lighting of the subject

Auto FP High Speed Sync Mode delivers needed fill flash in bright light

Distance Priority Manual Mode is a great feature for manual flash [M] shooting at fixed distances, such as wedding photos and product shots
