Coolpix 5400 compare to coolpix5000

I have notice that coolpix 5400 street price is cheaper than coolpix5000.
Just wonder if anyone know why is that so? Since 5400 is suppose to be a newer model.

becos of competition, sometime they will just lower the price for newer model and hence make the 5400 more value for $ then 5000

Then... why dun they lower the price for D2H to make it cheaper than D100?

oso technology is likethat... even if good enuf now or even future, you will keep seeing better spec. better price and being current technology and more economical to mass produce, you will be tempt even you no need.

then the usual evil thingy will pop-up. and soon you will realise you keep talking to yourself..."so cheap...maybe I shd..." xy or z....
remember handphone, cd-player? CPU? harddisk? electonics will get cheaper just like electonic watch -- call quartz

only mechnical may increase in price like FM2, Pentax MX and even K1000

Automatic/Mech. Rolex can even sell more then wat you bought for. Try that for battery powered Tag Heuer

automatic one maybe still can and any watch maker can repair them. (Btw, most of these watch uses ETA-2824 movement for watch ranging like $200 Sandoz to $1600 Tag Heuer and Tag may using lower ETA grade movement too.)

For mech. it can be easily CLA. Electronic? Once out of date or no parts, you will have it left for nice memory

What I do last time for handphone... buy new model around $600, use abt 1 year and before batt dead, sell it abt $300+. Top up $100+ get another new model, do the same next year. I get newer phone evey year for the price of new battery. If keep for 2nd year, most likely you can sell like $100+ and what is the cost of new batt? abt $100+ too.

Maybe it will soon be. So if you keep the 5000, then it will be harder to sell if that really happened? Humm....

Because the D2H is not the replacement model for D100. D2H replaces D1H.
