Default Tokyo, hotel/hostel/inn @ Oimachi, Tokyo

Hi, will be travelling to Tokyo in end July 2009 for Wonderfest.
It will be 1 week of otaku-related activities, so not much nature sightseeing. It will be toys toys and toys (may be a visit to maid cafe too).

My friend will stay near Oimachi Station cos his girlfriend who is now in Japan for work is staying there.

I will be sharing room with another otaku.

We have found a place called "Sakura House", but being in IT profession, I know backup work wonders.

Do anybody know if there is any other hostel / guest house / inn near Oimachi Station?
Need to find just in case Sakura House is full. Budget is around 10K yen per night (2 people sharing).

We even consider internet cafe or karaoke room (probably more comfortable with sofa) to crash in, in case we need a roof desperately, but would like to know if there is other better alternative.

If you know other better internet search link or forum, but not have the time, please let me know too. I will search there.

    Thanks ahead.

    Yoyogi Park?

Anyway, stayed at Toyoko Inn for my recent trip. Service's good, breakfast's provided and there's a room with bathroom.

All in all, its a reasonably good hotel with good facilities. Oh yeah, net access is fast & free

I stayed at Toyoko Inn too. Both in Tokyo and Osaka.

Besides the usual hotel facilities, they also provide telephones for guests' use in the lobby. IIRC free for local calls and 100 yen for 3 mins of overseas call.

There's even a printer connected to the PCs in the lobby for guests' use.

    hotel.

Yup, u can asked for a cable if u dun hv one. Sometimes its in the drawer.
Wireless also available but depending on whether yr room is near the router, the signal strenghths may differ.

As I travel often, I usually bring along a portable wireless router so that I can surf on the bed!
    Or the jumban too!

If you want to save some cash, try capsule hotels There're some as cheap as 2000 yen, but not that nice to stay... Average ones cost around 3500.
