I was trying to shoot some lighting last week and found that some of the pics appears to have some weird horizontal lines as shown in the 2 pics below. They were shot in bulb mode.
Does anyone has this similar problem or know what is the cause? Could this be a sign of the shutter failing or is it normal? Please help. ![]() ![]()

Can be explained that there is lightning strike when the curtain is opening/closing. Because the duration of one flash is very fast, it leave fix the sharp image of the curtain on the sensor, hence causes the horizontal line. I think this is normal.

It may due to the shutter speed.
Sorry to derail a little. Can I ask what is bulb mode? Thanks. |

Bulb mode is where the shutter remains open while the shutter button is being pressed until it is released.
