I found this review somewhere so I quote it here for your benefit:
Nikon: Good Canon: Good Fuji: Good Frankly, your question is too vague. Surely you've printed out all the pages of the dpreview reviews of the 3 cameras and also downloaded the sample pics? After reading them, exactly which part are you not sure about? In case you haven't heard of dpreview, link here: www.dpreview.com |

S2 Pro's strongest advantage: pictures that come out of it need little post-processing if any at all.
and yes, moola LAGI |

ok
from exprienced gathered from my 2 friends 1) s2pro images provides more latitude for adjustments 2) a friend who moved from d100 to 10D said this when I asked him how's the improvement "pretty good, probably something like your s2pro" Cheers |

Came across an article (cant remember where) that Fuji gives better skin tone than the D100 which is better for landscape shots. Its also optimized for microdrive whereas D100 is for compact flash .. but it doesn't mean that using otherwise is inefficient or problematic .. its just slower.
Also S2 can use Smart Media too and has Firewire connection. And of course you can shoot up to est 12 meg pixels. ![]() |

If you like Velvia color, you will dig S2 pro. It's addictive, trust me.

just want to add, alot of people got put off by the s2pro due to the dual battery configuration, but inreality, you only need 1 set to operate the camera, so it is a non issue.
the biggest problem I find with the s2 is the small view finder, which at times makes it hard to compose the shots, image wise, it is very good. hence the for the s2 vs d100, it is image quality vs handing. (d100 has better handling/ergonomics) held the d10, feels very good in the hands too, can't comment about the image quality. cheers |

erwinx: You used my review
![]() Jokes aside, the S2 Pro gives very nice skin tones. All are just as good if you asked me, erwinx has already used my review of these three brands extensively. Remember, another man's meat, is another man's poison, go for what you like, feel touch and play around first ![]() |

How about S2 , able to do TTL, vs D100 DTTL? That means you can use any old flash in the market ?
That was my consideration when I was looking for a DSLR for underwater photography. I don't shoot much land shots. Depends on your needs.... |

imho
you won't go wrong with S2 or D100, since both uses F mount lense... ![]() except canon has wider variety of lenses ![]() Last edited by jo3pit; 19th November 2003 at 10:58 AM. |

I was astounded especially by the marked difference in how the two cameras record green and blue in their default modes as shown in the article. ![]() |

Hi,
me and my friend were discussing the same thing earlier today (or since it's past midnight, yesterday) and we came across this article comparing the S2pro to D100 www.bythom.com/s2d100.htm the final verdict: buy both, whichever you like least can pass to me. frankly, get either one, you wouldn't regret it. and though it pains me as a nikon user to say it, looking at the reviews at dpreview,it looks like the 10D is still king here. ![]() Last edited by giddygoat; 9th December 2003 at 02:37 AM. |
