Yap, cut down the power consumption and make the system lighter.

imagine using an adapter and attaching a large softbox. might be really off-balance?

Very nice - but not much cheaper than today's solution. Although certainly 'lighter' on your shoulder...which speaking of experience is worth a lot.
![]() Complete kit - battery, 2 heads, etc. 2799 USD !!! http://www.vistek.ca/store/ProPhotoL...-case-set.aspx At 400 Ws, not super strong. But good enough for quite a bit. |

Don't get me wrong - it's certainly a great kit. But only if you shoot a lot with flash.
And I must admit I've not used mine enough, to make the investment I've made, worth it... Just don't have the time for outdoor/evening shoots ![]() |

This system seems to be lighter, which I can dump everything into a bag and maybe with camera system. I am also considering the Profoto Acute series. ![]() |

This looks very promising for lightweight portable shoot. I was waiting for this for quite some time (ever since it launched) to come here from local distri...but i was told CP a few days ago they are not bring in huge quantity as think it will be too costly for its customers but will consider individual orders.
Anyone want to do MO? Last edited by lifestyle1881; 1st July 2009 at 09:59 AM. |

Wow.. I had no idea it was sold in a single-head package as well. But I'm keen on picking up the 'ready-to-go' suitcase set with 2 heads. Anyone else interested?

For this new kit, you are essentially trading more power, weight for something portable yet delivering quality lights.
Just for a comparison, Profoto is running a promo for their 600w pair of compact series for 2k. But somehow I just seem to like the quanta more. |
