    it's my first time doing pics like this.. not so sure what i should look out for.. composition? exposure? framing?

    comments please..

    the grass patch in front seems quite distracting...

    i guess my attention to the picture is always wandering to the grass patch in front...

    just my little opinion...please correct me if im wrong...

    Basically, it is a very nice shot. Color is contrasting, background is clear. IMHO, it could be better if the grass in the foreground cut by half. The sky beyond the pole also can remove a bit. You main subject - the boat will be more emphasized.

    some comments: the pic might be better with a higher view point and with some human in sight.
