    Roy,
    WAH! upgraded to D1X already
It's a pity the ?CKS memorial? under renovation (it is STILL under renovation when I was there last month )

I like the temple shot best.

btw, I didn't get get so close to the guards during the flag lowering ceremony? Telephoto lens?

    A response to my post!!!!

Yeah, I bought a 2nd hand D1X back in Mar.

Most of the shots are taken with the 85mm f/1.8. The wide angle ones are taken with AF 24-50mm f/3.5~4.5.

    Thanks!

    Roy

Yeah, I move from film SLR to CP995 in mid 2001.

Though it was a great camera I was frustrated by the poor focusing capability (low-light conditions and speed). I still use it for astrophotography from time to time.

You are right about the weight of a DSLR. The D1X body alone weighs about 1kg. When I travel, I pack the D1X, 24-50mm AF and 85mm AF (2 of my lightest lenses) into my backpack, plus the SB24 and my laptop!

I am typing this at the Seattle airport as I am on my way to Taipei again. Will be there for 2 weeks this time, hopefully can get some good shots.

Nice attempts Roy. But the compositions overall don't seem to work for me. I like the night shots though.
I still prefer your shots of your son Keven. How's the little bundle btw?

Thank you for your comments, tweakmax and Newman.

Keven is doing fine. He is learning a lot of new things now...really have to be away from home .
