    Default Repairing my S5 IS

Canon quoted me $95 for replacing the mode button, is it worth? i got it from one of the fellow clubsnappers here.

are there other places that i can go? and might get to repair the camera at a cheaper price?

If you think you're going to use this camera again, then go ahead and do it at CSC. Don't risk it with external repair centres which may not offer you a warranty on the repairs done.

S5IS is still relatively new (less than 2 years?) so it might still be worth the cost to get it fix. It is a very good travel camera.

I doubt there is outside shops which can source the parts.
