How long does it take to repair my camera?

A few months ago, some SAND landed in my Fuji S602Z & cocked it up.

I turn to a friend for help. He couldn't fix it & so he sent it to Fuji. It's been a month now & it's still not fixed. How long does it normally takes to fix camera with this problem? I'm getting a bit impatient! Hand getting itchy...
