Thumbs up Experience with E520 + 70-300 at the zoo (hot day)

After an extended outing I must say:
With good lighting, my "amateur" combo delivers amazing image quality.

From my 800~ shots in total, I can see both extremes, cloudy shots at 300mm @ ISO 800/1600 kills the contrast and colour tonal range Contrast can fix, colour cannot...

But But But...
I also see ISO100/200 shots that can easily compete with Canon, and if comparing lenses, I'm *really* shocked at the IQ diff! My old experience with the 75-300mm IS Mk1 + big tripod was not even close, and I was using Fuji Reala w tripod!

But I must say I tried the EX25 briefly at the Oly Service Centre... at 300mm the framing is bigger (1.5 to 2x) but min focus distance was *unchanged* (~1m) Can anyone share their experience here?

That is what really happens when you boost the signal from the sensor... something's gotta give... But at ISO 640 its still pretty much usable.

It's better if you post some pics here so that we can see.
I'm also a frequent user of the 70-300mm lens.

It's user-friendly as it's light in terms of weight.

Olympus lenses are mostly compact as compared to Nikon or Canon telephoto lenses.
