Naturally, it brings Nature closer to you.
Look at nothing else... ...and have confident. Was shooting this Common Tree Frog at ground level, handheld setup (with live view turn-on of cause), and this froggie suddenly jump in front and landed on my lens ![]() Just to share.. Cheers.. NatureTTL

That is amazing. What camera did you use to shoot the frog?
I love your setup nice camera gear. I use the E410 and I must say I too love Olympus. |

Most wacky thread I've ever seen for a while
I'm amazed at what the little guy can do with such precision to land on your setup. ![]()

Pic #1 was taken by my friend with his camera. Pic #2 was taken by me with my Samsung Omnia. Pic #3 was taken with my setup as in Pic#2 (E3 + Sigma 150mm macro). Cheers..

Woah, 150mm macro
![]() NatureTTL - How do you find the lens? In terms of handling, build quality, image quality and 'general usefulness'. Thanks. ![]()

, I can freely rotate the lens to compose my frame without the need to tilt my whole setup and shift my tripod. Nevertheless, sometimes I also shoot handheld if need too.The built quality is good (optically) I think, since I'm satisfied with the images I took. Sharpness is still ok when used together with EC1.4. But not externally, the lens coating tends to peel off after sometimes. Notice I have some gaffer tapes on my lens! That's is to cover and protect the coating from further peeling. I mainly used this lens for macro works, manual focus, and nothing else. AF tends to hunt and too slow (typical characteristic for macro lens). For amateur birding, I preferred to use the ZD50-200mm. ZD300/2.8 mt dream lens .I'm currently still using this lens actively and have been using it for more than 2 years. Probably, I had not choice since then and also now as this is the longest macro lens available for 3/4rd (I wonder when will Zuiko come out with an equivalent FL or even longer macro lens Hope I've answered your question. Cheers.. Allan

Thanks Allan, you have more than answered my questions. It's a god summary of the lens, and I soughta have an idea of the lens..
Previously, I don't have much faith in Sigma's quality, so was waiting patiently for the 100mm macro from Olympus... but it has not appeared yet. But this 150mm has been getting positive reviews so far... ![]() Let's see how long more Olympus is going to take to introduce the 100mm macro. Have a good weekend David

I hearts Olympus too! I brought my new toy out last night and everyone was so shocked and immediately asked "Why Olympus??". I couldn't give a definate answer so I just smiled and said "I want to be different". So, I ask you guys, Why Olympus? Why not Canon? Or Nikon? Or should I start a new thread altogether?
