Default Ospreys of Rottnest Island - The fighter bomber

This is the second series, concentrating on the Osprey in flight and some of it's' other activities like "bombing" - in the first pic . Unlike here in Singapore, the Osprey in Rottnest Island can fly really low and close as seen here.

Heads up for the next series, it will be on an Osprey couple in courtship (no sex scene) and finally the Osprey with its prey.

Again comments welcome.

Cheers

This is really bombing - lesson 1 in nature photography, never stay directly below any birds

The breast and belly is bloody as it has just finished eating a fish. This a result of not wearing bibs

It sure is, actually it is rather a close call, lucky the strong wind was not blowing towards my direction

Quite a good series of capture there. The lighting is not in your favour again as it is harsh despite the clear blue sky and the dark side lost most details. Are the pics full frame with 500mm X1.4 converter taken in the morning?

Cheers

Nice series, especially the "bombing" shot.
