Default What flash are you using on your G1?

Can recommend one that can flip up and swivel? was thinking of getting Metz 36AF but not sure if TTL is supported.

Prefer smallest form.. GN enough for indoor for normal size room/hall?

Metz 36AF doesn't swivel.

Anyone using Panasonic DMW-FL360 on their G1? how does it feel? top heavy or not?

I use Olympus FL-36R on my G1. Quite ok with a slight feel of top heavy. Balance better with 45-200mm.

Panasonic DMW-FL360 and Olympus FL36R does looks exactly alike..

Downloaded the pdf manual and saw it's 260g w/o batteries.
Dimensions: 67mm W, 108mm H & 95mm D

Was also comparing with Metz 48AF
Metz manual listed weight as 425g but not sure if this is w/batteries or not. I think 425g is w/o batteries.
Dimensions: 71mm W, 137mm H & 99mm D

Metz definitely larger.. I think Olympus looks like better fit in form and price factors.

Thanks again.

The refresh rate of fl36 is painfully slow esp after a full discharge. Might want to take this into consideration if you need faster refresh.

Thanks for this input... was really set on getting it, now... I dunno

Maybe I'll go have a feel for the Metz first, see if it fits nicely or not...

Thanks for the insights, appreciated it.

I happened to come across this mass sales thread in this forum and somewhat co-related having seen a similar post with regards to a compatible flash to go with the G1...

Fact is that, somebody from dpreview had used a similar flash on the G1 and looked pretty impressive too. Only downside is, the flash used for taking the photos seemed to be a manual zoom flash. Well, just sharing what I happened to stumble upon for the good of the others here.

Hope this bit of info helps. Cheers~
