Sigma Lens Warranty

Hi all

I noticed that most Sigma lens (local agent set) comes with 1 year warranty.

However, I think there are some Sigma lenses come with 2 years warranty, like the 70-300mm (someone is selling at BNS who have bought the lens at MS).

Why the difference in the warranty period? If the warranty is for 2 years, it probably make more sense to buy a local set if the price difference from grey ones are not that much.

For those who have bought local sets, which lens and how many years warranty?

Sigma lens comes with 1 year + 1.5 year extended warranty if you registered online. You should be getting the same if you juust bought your lens recently. I bought a 50mm f1.4 few weeks back.

Oh i see..when i called up a shop to check on the 30mm, they told me 1 year but forget to mention the 1.5 yrs extended warranty...thanks for clarifying

My 30mm comes with extended 12 mths warranty. register online additional 6 mths. total 30 mths!!!!

The extended 1.5 yrs is for local set only or wat?
