this tammy is as good as the one circulated quite sometime ago ... lol..

anyway, it is sharp, acceptable focusing speed and justifiable pricing.

    Pulau Ubin/Chek Jawa SSS Outing

Date: 1 May (Labour Day - Public Holiday) or 3 May, Sunday
    Time: 9am to late afternoon

    Outing Outline:

09.00am - Meet at Changi Village Market, International Nasi Lemak (Breakfast)
09.45am - Head over to Changi Point Jetty / Roll-Call
10.00am - Board Bumboat to head towards Pulau Ubin

    10.15am to end of outing

First SSS Location: Ubin's highest peak
    • Natural sighting of Goddess of Mercy
    • Panoramic view of Mainland Singapore - Punggol Areas
    • Insects Photography
    • 2 different quarry along the way

    Second SSS Location: Chek Jawa
    • Marina Life
    • Landscapes
    • Birding
    • Animal Sightings

    Interested Shooters:

    1. RyanG
    2. draken413o
    3. Vin
    4. Just2ofus
    5. NovJoe
    6. Raylen
    7. toughtrees
    8.
    9.
    10.
    11.
    12.

Kindly indicate which date you preferred and will go with the majority.

    Important Note:
    • Wear comfortably (For 450D Photography Club, wear the Blue club tee for those who has it.)
    • A good footwear is recommended. (Scandals allowed provided it will not slip off as there's some bush bashing to be done en-route to the highest peak)
    • Bring drinking water, cap/hat & face towel. (it can get real hot during mid day)
    • Insect Repellent (Optional. Bring if you want.)
    • Bring enough cash as we will have lunch/short teabreak on the island. (No ATMs hor)

I personally recommend cycling to Chek Jawa as it is very far. Walking may take awhile and when it's hot, we are gonna be slow. Travel on bicycle is faster and creates the wind needed.

Caution: On bicycle, never speed as the ground is unpredictable.

I need to buy a new watch too. My everyday use watch is in super worn out condition. Used it since primary 4. Haha.

Not if you have been doing off terrain hill jumps. It can be controlled. But for the first timer's, it's best to use 1st or 2nd gear on both your derailleurs. So that you won't get tired out or lose grip on the bicycle.

Ubin is not like main land here. It's dirt and gravel with lotsa potholes. I rather safeguard my shooters than risking their lives and their precious gears.

There's a few fatal bicycle cases on the island and I'm not taking any chances.

I guess 50-500mm can get you both of that without top up.

Yeap. I don't do mainland jumps. Well, anyway, it's best to take it slow and steady. Get those inexperienced one to follow a leader, plus some experienced people should stick behind the lot as well. So that no one gets left behind in case of any incident. Travel on low gears for best traction. It will help to prevent the bike rims from being disformed. Telling you this based on my bikers knowledge.

Really. Around there. The 70-200mm is around 1.4k, and the 17-50mm is around 600+ Depends where you get it. Haha.
