![]() Was waiting for Kingfisher at BG but no show so snapped a pic of the White-breasted Waterhen thats always around the waterlily pond. |

Good shot there, Erwinx. I have seen the chicks a few times but never able to capture it with its parent. Your low angle of shot makes the picture stands out.

I have seen smaller chicks of waterhen in my younger days. But I did not know that they are so cute even when they have grown bigger. I like the pose of the birds. If anything, the chest portion (white) of the adult waterhen seems a little washout. I encounter similar problems in the field even though the white portion looks okay to naked eyes. A good capture nevertheless.
