Default Scratching sound during AF for tamron 17-50mm

The AF still works. Just that there is a very scary scratching sound during it. Never had this problem before.

Anyone knows why this happened?

Not sure why but from the sound of it, some wire belt might have gone loose, rubbing against the barrel. Or sand/debri might have got stuck in between.

Send for servicing.
