I have a black Leica M6 camera, complete with box, body cap, original strap, x-sync socket cover, papers and carton boxes for sale. This camera is the standard 0.72X magnification, classic non-TTL model. This camera has the strap lug protectors. The camera’s serial number is 2180XXX places the production in September 1995, about 14 years old.

Together with this sale is a conditional “freebie”. If the sale is concluded with an amount within 5% of the above price (i.e. S$1,900 and above), the original Leica grip [model 14405, see description and pictures below] would be part of the sale.

The first offer above the S$2,000 level seals the deal.

Condition 10/10:
Mechanically and optically perfect. All mechanical functions are smooth. Rangefinder and viewfinder are clean and clear; no fungus or fogging. Film pressure plate is in very good condition, no wear marks from heavy usage. Shutter speeds and metering are working properly; as far as I have used this camera, I have obtained exposures acceptable using the camera’s meter. Rewind crank and knob are well take care of; cranks snaps back into the knob recess and is not loose; no visible wear on the edges of the knob. Film chamber and take up spool are clean. Shutter curtains are clean and intact. All button, cranks and wheels turns smoothly. Specifically, the frames lever moves smoothly and the frames are not stuck in any particular set, as would be apparent in cameras that have been mounted with a single lens for a long time.

Cosmetically, the camera is in excellent condition. The camera has been gaffer taped at all vulnerable location (especially edges) since I got the camera. The base plate plastic protection is still on the base plate. Generally, the camera has been well taken care of; no dings, dents, scratches or other marks on the camera body. The mating surface between the body and the base plate exhibits the normal marks from removal/replacement of the base plate for the loading of film. All camera markings are intact.

Conditional Freebie - Original Leica Grip [14405]:
A Leica grip is a potential part of the sale. As with the camera, the grip is in excellent condition and fits the M6. Alas, the carton box for this accessory is not longer with me.

Update - Bidding Close At 8.30pm, 16Apr2009, Thursday <- TONIGHT!

I have received several bids since the original posting. In the interest of not hanging onto the bidding process too long and unfairly penalizing early bidders, I will close the bidding process at 8.30pm tonight. I will use the ClubSnap forum clock as the reference, i.e. PM received after 8.30pm will be out of the race.

The original rules applies: If a S$2,000 offer comes along, it will seal the deal and bidding stops immediately. This also means that once the S$2,000 offer is accepted via PM, further offers, even if higher than the S$2,000 amount, will not be accepted.

Hope the above clarifies the situation.
