Magic filters are expensive...though they do work for some situations.
Alternatively, can use manual white balancing. |

they're ok..not so expensive since the GBP has dropped about 30% from previous years. only S$2.3/GBP now. so a 5x5cm sheet is about $46..and you can cut it up for 4 compact cameras!
you can see an example of a wreck shot with the magic filter here http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...4&id=710531221 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...2&id=710531221 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...1&id=710531221 Last edited by antacid; 16th April 2009 at 11:43 AM. |

U can get Magic Filter from Scuba Cam... I bought the pack of 3, then realised I prefer using manual white balance...

i ordered direct..think its cheaper than scubacam. anyway, i wouldnt know cos they didnt reply to my emails for quotes...even when i asked for DS160s and other stuff. so buy from other places lor.
i think even with magic filters, you are supposed to do MWB...but the results are much better with the filter on becuase the light is more 'balanced' |

Thanks! Didn't know have to do MWB, the instructions say AWB will do... Ok, will give the magic filter another try with MWB!

best is to take in RAW..so you can adjust to your liking when you are nice and dry. hehe AWB is supposed to give 'satisfactory' results..but i watched the video and they said to do MWB before each shot
