If you are talking about wireless TTL, then no.
If used as slave flash, yes. I believe only bodies 420/520 and up have wireless features.

![]() Try it. Switch your FL-36R to Slave Mode and try firing with the pop-up flash up. Your FL-36R should fire too.

as everyone else have said, only can use in slave mode, but be careful because the pop up flash will add to the exposure, and any settings you have to change on the external flash, must be done on the flash unit itself

Yes, it works! but...
It seems to be weaker if it is used as slave-auto. 01: Slave flash (wif sphere dome diffuser, pointing upwards) + built-in flash w/o pop-up diffuser ![]() 02: Slave flash (wif sphere dome diffuser, pointing upwards) + built-in flash with pop-up diffuser ![]() 03: Direct mounting on the camera hotshoes (wif sphere dome diffsuer, pointing upwards) ![]() May I know where is tat shadow comes frm in 01? Or izzit the direct pop-up flash shoots front, forgo the bottom part? If tat's the case, the slave flash is rather weak. No way tat i can hv complete control wireless like u the effect in 03? Only E3 does tat?

Unfortunately the flash was designed after the E-510, so the flash has a feature the camera can't do...as already stated you can use it as an auto/manual slave flash, but there's nothing stopping you from using the FL-36r connected to the camera, or with an FL-CB05 cable.

not true, cameras starting from E-3 has built in wireless,E-30,E-620,E-450,E-520,E-420
And Bruno,I believe the shadow is from the lens, when using pop up flash at wide angles, there will be a shadow cast by the lens,i experience that very often with my old E-510
