Hi, I am considering purchasing a DSLR camera and my choices are between A300 and A350. I have read some reviews regarding both cameras and it seems like A300 would be a better choice. I have no plans to purchase those better 'A' grade lens, and I will be sticking to the original lens. Please advise, thank you.

The difference between the two is only in terms of MP, if you don't need 14MP then get A300.

Not a pro, but the review forums say that will A350 you might get more noice as pixel density is more. At the same time for clean images, you get more details.
Sony gurus please advise. |

A300 because it is cheaper and faster burst shooting.
A350 has higher MP, SHOULD have higher noise. but looking at their images i don't think the difference in MP and noise is noticeable.

With the high amount of noise from A300, you wouldnt want more noise from A350.

I think it's a good choice to go with the A300 - it's a good balance of speed, resolution and overall performance.
![]() A350 is a machine that I would use for its resolution - though bearing in mind of all the trade offs.

Both the A300 and A350 have tilting LCDs. And at least they can have a VG too.

video cam take photo & dslr/digcam take video , just offer the both worlds for very short span of happiness.
for DSLR take HD video, you have to consider the ergonomics, quality of video taken, color, sound, zoom capability and memory requirements. can you use it for video real long occasions? if not, what for? the dslr ergonomics was designed to take stills(think of the zoom, manual controls you have to manage with a dslr) nowadays, with HD videocam going mainstream price and reduced size, personally, there is really no incentive to go for dslr with HD video rec at even a little bit more price. if it becomes mainstream all dslr have hd video recording, ah then go for it. anyway, after try out a300 and a350, i chose for a350 since the lesser 0.5 burst frame does not matter much to me. |

The extra MP count of the A350 is good if you crop your pictures.

The extra MP count is also good for taking less pictures due to its larger filesize.
